Cooperation with the Oldenburg International Film Festival: Hans Ohlms-Award

This year, the Hans Ohlms Foundation presents the Hans Ohlms Award for the first time in the course of the renowned Oldenburg International Film Festival.

The award is given to the best exceptional and independent first work and is endowed with 3.000€. The decision on the winner will be made by an expert jury. The jury will be composed of one person from the Foundation and two persons from the Advisory Board of the Festival.

The Foundation intends to present this award in the long term in cooperation with the Film Festival in order to support strong, new and independent cinema. Central to this is also the idea of preserving the legacy and spirit of Hans Ohlms. Hans Ohlms was an exceptional artist who rejected strict guidelines and pursued his creative vision despite all adversities.
